Snack before GO!

Apparently, bride has a very busy schedule on actual wedding day. Bride wakes up earlier as fishing man, market seller for make up and hair do. Then, bride will have their religion ceremony in the morning and giving respects to parents and senior members of family. After complete morning and noon events, bride has to prepare evening dinner. Hence, there is not much buffer and rest time for a bride to take a proper meal.
How could a bride to prevent starving or gastric on the important day? The answer is "take a snack". It is recommended to take 1-2 hours before wedding dinner, around 5-6pm.
Take into considerations, we must choose a right snack which is low calories, less fat and feel full to your stomach. Below are the snacks that I would like to recommend:
1) Muesli
You can choose muesli bar or muesli mix with milk. In the big hypermarket, you can easily to find multiple brands of muesli bar. Furthermore, it has different package that mixes with dried fruits, nuts or yogurt. If you like to have lower calories, mix pure muesli with low fat milk.
2) Fruits
Take low sugar fruits like apple, guava, prunes, papaya. It is better to eat the fruit straightly instead of buying fruits juice because juice has lost some nutrition or juice will mix with sugar if you are buying from certain stalls.
3) Cheese
Cheese can let your stomach feels warm and subsequently you will not easily feel drunk. It is especially can help a Chinese bride to have better preparation during Yam Seng section.

Happy snacking and pamper yourself in the important day!

Concorde Ball Room

Last month, I have attended a wedding dinner in Concorde Ball Room. Many weddings have been organized in this ball room before, though I had not been there yet before this wedding.

The wedding banquet set up for the 50 tables wedding are quite amazed. Concorde ball room has 2 levels, second level is slightly higher than first level. In the ballroom, roses are set up at each table, backdrop is designed with fairy lightning and gold color words. Furthermore, dripping cloth has been decorated at center of level 1 and helium balloons were floating at the entire hall.

Unfortunately, there are few pillars at the level 2. Nevertheless, live feed screens are putting at each pillar, guests can view the stage atlevel 1 clearly if they are seating behind the pillar.

The main surprise from the wedding was the food of 9 course Chinese dinner. Every dish being served was truly delicious. The food is good as a famous Chinese restaurant. If food is important element for the bride, groom and family, you definitely can consider to sign up with Concorde Hotel.

In the end of wedding, there was a live band performance that provided from Concorde. In fact, the Indonesian band can sing Mandarin songs and Hokkien song. Children are dancing at stage happily.

How to choose your Groom Suit?

To choose a perfect suit for groom, it must fulfill comfortable, slim, moving space and fit criteria. Groom has to walking around and mingles with guests on the wedding night, present the first dance and etc. Hence, a perfect suit should able to reduce all unexpected things that happened to the suit.
Groom suit is made by combination of jacket, trouser (collar, sleeves), pants and neck wear. In Malaysia, groom commonly choose tuxedo for the type of jacket. Tux does not have tail coat. Tux has different type of lapel and different type of breasted button. Lapel features a triangular indention where the lapel joins the collar. Breasted button is combined from single breasted or double breasted with number of tux buttons.

Next, choose color of trouser that could match with you tux. When you choose the trouser, wide collar or wing collar is a common choice. When a groom choose pants, pants of the suit has to look slim, so the fabric of pant plays an important role. Finally, choose a necktie or bow tie to match. To add in extra accessories, cuff link is a perfect choice. The type of cuff link that choose by groom will precisely represent the personality of groom. May be, you will receive surprise from bride with this little cute added babies

P/S: See above pictures for the choices commonly you can rent if you are engaged with a bridal house and does not tailor made.

Indulge in the Uniquely Singapore experience

Image source from various internet site

In conjunction of the Nuffnang awards organised by Singapore, there is a blog contest to win an invitation ticket to Singapore. I hope I will be one of the winner. Below is the future experience I am indulge to:-

As a person who is passionate in wedding planning, I would like to experience a love finding trip in Singapore which has rich blend in culture, cuisine, arts and architecture. I will leave my foot print in the places that I plan to go to ensure it is while worth to be visited by every single to-be bride and groom. Singapore is a potential hot wedding destination, starts from wedding photo shooting, sight seeing, romantic pre wedding lunch, wedding reception and wedding party. I will like to experience it by finding love in each location. Then, post my recommendation and share to every couple in the world.

My tour route will be as below:
China Town -> Little India -> Joo Chiat -> Harding Road (near Demsy Hill) -> Esplanade -> Raffles City -> Sentosa Island -> Amara Hotel & Resorts -> St James Power Station

Find love in ethnic (8am-11am)
Early morning 8am, take north east line MRT to Chinatown and have a local breakfast (black coffee + half boil egg + kaya toast). A fabulous breakfast will bring a good start of journey. After breakfast, have a look of Chinese terrace house and the building. Next, take MRT to Little India. In Little India, will go to see work-crafts and temples, experience the life of Singapore’s India. Then, will take MRT to Paya Lebar and take taxi to Joo Chiat to tour around the colorful Peranakan terrance house.
I guess those places will become a good spots for wedding couple to take pre-wedding photo.

Find love in holy food (11 am-1-pm)
It’s time to take a short break after long walk. Take taxi from Joo Chiat to Harding road which nears to Dempsy Hill. I have found this good restaurant in the last visit of Singapore but yet to dine in. This restaurant called “The White Rabbit”, it used to be a church. The management maintains all the church architecture design and only replaces the furniture; it has a good and peace ambiance. I am going to have a superb lunch in a holy place!
It will be a lovely place for the couple to have a romantic lunch/dinner.

Find love in art (1pm-5pm)
After my stomach is full, it’s time to walk. I will take taxi to nearest MRT and take MRT to City Hall. I will have a visual art tour in Esplanade. I believe art will carry harmony and love to all couples. Next, I will shop between Raffles City and City Hall to explore Singapore fashion trend.
I hope it will be great for the couple to have sight seeing in art exhibition center and shopping.

Find love in wedding reception (5pm-11pm)
After shopping has been done, it’s time for fun and dinner. I am going to take cable car to Sentosa Island and go to underwater world & Dolphin Lagoon before the latest admission – 8.30pm. Next, watch Sentosa 4D Magix. During dinner time, I am planning to visit Amara Hotel and Resorts for Sanctuary. It is a side visit to check out the wedding venue and the food quality.
I hope Sentosa Island is a right choice to have fun and to hold a wedding reception.

Find love in party (11pm – late)
Finally, it is party time! I will pay a second visit of St James Power Station. I love the live band, they sing well in soft rock. St James Power Station is merging multiple music concepts in one place. Wedding couple can easily book a room to have their private party after wedding reception.
It’s time to chill, play and rock.

Its Krrunch Time, Get Playful

Episode 1 and also the last Episode

I would like to share a “Krrunch” valentine I had in my life. In year 20XX, Feb 14 17:00, I am taking nap with my smelly pillow. Oh, I smell something nice in my dream. Am I living in a world that full of red, green, orange color of Pringles? The smell is damn good and I am starving. (Yawnnn, let me wake up) Look! There is a bumble bee squatting outside the house and he is giving the Pringles to me.

I cannot wait longer anymore; let me take the chip from the container. Ahhhh, it is last slice. Wow, the chip is writing lovely word. Today is Valentine Day, I almost forget it. Wow wow wow, another lovely paper that he sent to me. However, why these chips smell differently?

Stupid, cheating bumble bee! This is not Pringles. I am angry. “I love you dear; I will give you the last piece that I have”. “Thanks Darling, the world is not “Krrunch” if without you”

(Suddenly, light is switched off) “There is no electricity! I have paid the bill punctually.”
(Another sudden, light is switched on). “Why my Pringles is missing?” Oh gosh, you eat it!!! (Whack, Ahh, uhh)

The End

Note: The story is created to win exclusive invites to the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Award. If the story is matched with a real story, it is just a coincident.

Doraemon wishes you Happy Mid Autumn Festival 2009

Time flies, 2009 mid autumn festival is coming on this Saturday (3rd Oct). In the current society, there are lesser people to go home reunion with family and celebrate together. I am hoping this festival will be continued and will not disappear in future. Do you still remember why Chinese celebrate mid autumn festival?
In my memory, I could remember it starts from a war in china during old days. Due to some reason (I also could not remember), peoples is writing words in a piece of paper and hide inside the biscuit. The biscuit is the shape of traditional moon cake with lotus paste. After the war finish, peoples are celebrating this day by baking moon cake. My story is very stupid, seems like only jot down in Lane’s history only. Who knows where is the lantern come from? If you have some history of moon cake festival different than mine, do share it here.

In this year, Bis-good is selling Doraemon moon cake. I saw it in Mid Valley LG, near by KFC. The moon cake looks cute and pretty; I didn’t buy because I have spent money to bought Bakers Cottage and Tai Thong moon cake.

For those who want to give surprise to their girlfriend/wife/parent in law, you could consider to buy a box. It will be sweet when you pass it to her hand with this cute box. If you want to give bigger surprise to her, you can stick a piece of paper at bottom of the moon cake. Cut the tooth pick half and poke the paper with the shorten tooth pick at base of the moon cake. She will found it when she is going to cut the moon cake to pieces. Then, you can proceed to take her to a walk with a lovely swan lantern.

Wish you have a lovely Mid Autumn Festival!
