RSVP in the Wedding Invitation Card

In the wedding invitation card, we are commonly see the word "RSVP". Most of the Malaysian only know "RSVP" means response to the invitation, but seldom people find out the actual term of "RSVP". RSVP is coming from French word "répondez s'il vous plaît", pronounce as "Ray Spon Day See Voo Play". It means "Please answer/response".
Irregardless the invited guests are attending the dinner or not, they have to inform the host. Normally, the host will put a date together with RSVP wording, so invited guest can response by the specified date. Host can make seat arrangement accordingly the head count and confirm the food catering as well.

Next time, remember to RSVP by the written date! Do not make the groom or bride call and remind you after the date overdue.

My Dream in the Year of the Tiger

Personally, dream is easier to sketch compare resolution. Resolution has to specifiable, achievable, measurable, enjoyable (short term is “SAME”) whereas Dream can simply only enjoyable and extreme. I have not thought of my dream since many years ago. Simply because I am more realistic when I grow older? I think I am mature, not old. (Wondering...)

If the faith will let me win my dreams, I think I will…

1) Travel to London, France, Italy
Air Asia has offered a good airfare to travel to Europe country but I yet to save enough money for the food, accommodation and others. I wish there is a business opportunity for me to the place or nearer place, so I could save the air fare and back pack. Furthermore, I could visit the authentic castle for a European’s wedding. There are a lot of old building and classic church for them to organize the wedding ceremony and reception. It is important to study culture from different country to prepare myself when have a destination wedding job in future.


2) Learn wedding decoration
I hope I can do the wedding decoration my own. Hence, it will be great if there are classes to teach floral arrangement, venue decoration. If there are good books or good teacher that can refer to learn myself, I also feel glad.

3) No need to work in IT
Does this possible? I am working hard to change my career into the field I like. If I could have financial support in other income, I am ready to quit in anytime. Btw, it is a dream and it might happen if the faith has come.

I am not plan to join the run, so I didn’t send mail to Nuffnang to get a single entry. Nevertheless, it is a good topic to start with before the Chinese New Year. What are your dreams in the Tiger year?

Tiger Year 2010

Year 2010, metal tiger year is known as "widow year" or "blind year" in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. It means no "立春" during Chinese New Year. In year 2010, "立春" is falling on 4th Feb which is earlier than the first day of Chinese New Year - 14th Feb. According to Chinese feng shui, it is believe that it is not suitable to tie the knot in this year, it will cause bad consequences for the marriage.

However, I have 4 friends are going to marry this year 2010. They have picked the auspicious date after get advise from the master. Hence, there is no impossible for anything. Most important, a couple has to put much effort to maintain a long lasting relationship. Marry in an auspicious date is a way to receive blessing from the elements of earth and blessing from seniors. Here to wish the couples have a blasting wedding day.

I just receive a joke from friend. Chinese like to say a term "扮猪吃老虎", direct translation is "acts like a pig to eat tiger". This phrase means a person try to hide their actual strength from the counter part. The person will try to defeat the counter part when they are neglecting the strength of a person.
Base on this term, my friend asks "Is the tiger year good for a person who born in pig year?" Do you get the joke?

Starting from Holiday Villa

I have started my first assignment in Holiday Villa. It was a long preparation before the day. The main attraction to having an outdoor wedding in Holiday Villa is the Olympic size swimming pool. Nevertheless, the weather risk has to be counted because the wedding package does not include canopy due to the budget. The backup plan is having dinner in a small Classic Ballroom.

Before the day, I could not sleep well, about 4 hours sleep. I guess it might caused by anxiety and worry. The customary that used in the morning ceremony are simple but there is one I newly found is "Rooster Basket". The chinese morning ceremony went smoothly except a minor problem - the part of groom and bride reach main entrance of lobby are not being shooted in the video. It is one of the lesson that I have learned.
The sky looks gloomy and cloudy from morning till 3pm. Banquet of hotel is worried and urge to change venue into backup plan. I am quite tight up with the last minutes changes, rushing, sweating, urging from 3pm until 7pm.

I could say the attendants that arranged for the wedding are not experienced. They are dissapointed me in some minor chaos. Anyway, I have learned and I have grown. Thanks for the people who gave me the opportunity, the people who forgive me while I make mistake. In the end, I would like to share some pictures and the wedding decoration that I have made for the wedding.

Last Bridal Fair in 2009

I have visited the last bridal fair on Dec that falling in year 2009. The venue is located in Cyber View Lodge Resort and Spa. I have been read from the bridal magazine and bride's comments about this place quite long time. Nevertheless, I have yet to visit this place to see actual beautiful look of the resort until this opportunity comes. The bridal fair is organized by Cyber View Lodge together with Wedding Malaysia. The resort has one lakeside garden for wedding couple to hold their wedding registration in the morning. The garden is facing the lake and couple could promise their vow in front of the beautiful lake and under an beautiful arch.


For wedding reception, you can choose ballroom or outdoor garden. Center piece, flower stand on the aisle, real wedding cake and backdrop are set up as you wish. The ballroom have many colors of chair fightback, e.g. blue, pink, red, green, gold, purple, etc. Center piece that provided is an unique of this resort though you have to pay extra to place on each guest table.


If the couple like to have casual and contemporary dinner, Atap Lounge in outdoor garden is a good option for them. The dining place is shaded and dinner is served as the cuisine you choose. Guests are seat at the long table, arrangement is similar to western concept.

The only disadvantage of this place is "distance". For those stay far from Cyber, they will have concern on the transport arrangement. The couple has to send a map with clear direction and delegate one usher for each group of guests to ensure they reach on time.
